Well I missed yesterday

As I prepared for my sale yesterday it was sunny and had snowed 25 cm almost 10″ nothing compared to other parts of the country and the US.  Problem for me is that I had to schlep my wares through snow that had not been cleaned on sidewalks or bus stops to catch a bus to take me to the sale.

I braved it not so bad I was even early enough to stop for a coffee and a muffin before but the day went on from there.  I realized as I unpacked that I forgot my business cards, gum, water and a few other things.  Set up was fast and I was finished by the time the doors opened and introduced myself to the individuals on either side.  Lots of interest in my glass and cards mostly discussed how I did the process.  I met many new people, saw some old friends, invitation to another sale so all in all a good day.

However going home was a bit of a nightmare, it was cold and damp and the bus I planned to take did not come on time but another did which I thought it will get me to my appointed destination eventually…eventually being the operative word here an hour and a half later I finally got to where I needed to transfer to my next bus which of course I had missed and waited while some woman complaining loudly to all that would listen about the state of the world and that the ills we are experiencing is because we are moles and not wanting to go to church or take up arms, oh and not smacking our kids enough blah, blah blah…

Well finally got home and exhausted and cold – did not unpack, from the comfort of under the covers of my bed used my laptop to catch up on the news of the day I had missed.  I was brain-dead and I think I eventually passed out and woke up in time for my niece to come home at around 11 pm.

Then I remember on of my favorite quotes..

“If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.”
― E.B. White

Today I am hoping to go to the movies and see Quartet.

Have a good one
